Bluebird Growers Planters Box Review & Spaghetti Meal
Disclosure: “I was not financially compensated for this post. I received a sample for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.”
Since we are in the gardening season this planter box was a perfect product to review. Nicholas Zimmer-owner and resident in Jacksonville with a B.S. in Horticulture from UW Madison, created Bluebird Growers in Jacksonville, Florida. He named the business Bluebird after his grandmother who loved bluebirds and spent a lot of time in the kitchen with him.
He wanted to grow herbs, vegetables and other edibles and this was his creation.
The planters box can be purchased through the local Native Sun. This box has 4 herbs Parsley, Oregano, Basil and Thyme.
As soon a we got the planter box home I was ready to use them for dinner. My husband had a taste for spaghetti for dinner, so we used the basil and oregano to make spaghetti. Here is a how we make our spaghetti meal.
- spaghetti pasta
- spaghetti sauce (I use Ragu brand)
- ground beef or chuck
- 1/4 Bellpepper chopped
- 1/2 onions
- pepper & salt to taste
- garlic powder
Boil the dry pasta for about 20 minutes til dente
Cook the ground beef and mix the bell pepper and onion along with salt, pepper, garlic powder
Pour the water from the pasta and put the ground beef in the pasta.
Put the spaghetti sauce in the pot and season to taste
Once plated include your herbs on each plate. Eat and Enjoy!
til next time….
